The second trailer for GTA 6 broke the internet when it dropped. Racking up nearly 100 million views in just 24 hours, it sparked a massive wave of conversation on social media, with fans eagerly discussing what they hope to see in the game. Among them are dedicated viewers who dissected the trailer frame by frame, spotting key details, from realistic physics to stunning lighting.

GTA 6 is shaping up to be the most ambitious open-world game to date, and Rockstar clearly isn’t holding back. Powered by its robust RAGE Engine, the game showcases an incredible level of detail, even in what appear to be the smallest moments. The second trailer, captured entirely in-engine on a base PlayStation 5, gave us a glimpse of just how far Rockstar is pushing the envelope.

Here are some of the wildest details fans have discovered in GTA 6’s second trailer:

Bubbles Inside Beer Bottles

Yes, Rockstar has taken its physics game up a notch; fizzing bubbles can now be seen inside beer and soda bottles. This detail is visible in the trailer during the shot featuring a PlayStation controller.

Actual Flip-Flops

Eagle-eyed fans noticed that flip-flops in the game behave realistically. In one scene, a character rides a bike, and when you zoom in, you can see the flip-flops aren’t clipping into the pedals; they hang naturally beneath them, showcasing the game’s refined animation system.

Jiggle Physics

Arguably, the most replayed part of the trailer features Lucia walking, with fans noting the presence of realistic jiggle physics. It’s a subtle but impressive demonstration of how the physics engine can simulate even the movement of muscle and body fat on character models.

Hair Physics

Where there’s jiggle physics, there’s also attention to hair movement. In the scene where Lucia and Jason close the trunk of a car, Lucia’s hair flips and moves naturally, exactly as it would in real life, thanks to the RAGE Engine's detailed animation system.

Vehicles Get Seriously Dirty

The dirt physics have seen a major upgrade since Red Dead Redemption 2. Fans spotted that vehicles can get significantly caked in mud and dust over time. One shot even shows a bike with mud completely covering parts of it, adding another layer of realism to the world.

And that’s just scratching the surface of the game’s mind-blowing attention to detail. Some moments in the trailer blur the line between cutscene and gameplay, making it tricky to tell them apart. Still, Rockstar has confirmed that much of what we saw was rendered in-engine, so it’s safe to say GTA 6 is going to look incredible.

There’s still a year to go before release, but the hype is already through the roof.
