GTA 6 has only had two trailers, but fans are already buzzing about the game’s various characters. From attractive leads Jason and Lucia to their supporting cast, who look like a ton of fun, fans are already making theories about these people. With the game still a year away, we’re sure more wacky characters will be revealed.
Because this is set in Vice City, fans hope to see favorites from that PS2 era title return here. There’s also hope for characters to return from GTA 3 or GTA San Andreas, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Still, it’s good to see the game has already established a new supporting cast that has players excited.
Here are all of the confirmed GTA 6 characters and the roles they will play in this highly anticipated entry.
Jason Duval
Jason, one of this game’s co-leads, seems like your usual GTA protagonist. Someone who just can’t catch a break, Jason does odd jobs for drug lords, and might even rob houses with his girlfriend. There are also theories that he might be an undercover cop, which should make him a fascinating character.
Lucia Caminos
The first character fans were introduced to in GTA 6, Lucia, was just released from jail, but is already scheming for plans to lead to a better life. Fans have been pretty enamored with Lucia, for obvious reasons, and her dynamic with Jason keeps the story compelling. With a background in Liberty City, Lucia isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty.
Brian Heder
Immediately seen at the start of this game’s new trailer, Heder is Jason’s landlord and a drug dealer, to no one’s surprise. Like other GTA characters, Brian runs a legitimate business, but can’t escape the criminal life. His character arc seems predictable, but GTA can always surprise us with what could happen.
Cal Hampton
A prime example of GTA 6’s parody writing, Cal is pretty paranoid and believes in a lot of conspiracy theories. Since this game is clearly based on Florida, the writing of this character doesn’t surprise us at all. From what we've seen, Hampton also has some fun, so he will probably be more sympathetic than your usual conspirator enthusiast.
Boobie Ike
Hailed as a Vice City legend in the game, Boobie is still a crime lord, but also has legitimate forms of business. Given how previous GTA games go, expect to do many missions for this seemingly clean entrepreneur. Ike also has his paws on this game’s music industry, so be prepared to hear his artists at work.
Dre’Quan Priest
While Boobie Ike has already established himself in GTA 6, Dre’Quan is still in the process of getting there. Another crime lord, Priest, hopes to get into the music industry properly, especially now that he has potential musicians signed. Like Ike, don’t be surprised if you have to “clean up” for Priest later.
Real Dimez
A musical duo signed by Priest and Ike, these two hip-hop artists hope to make their mark in the industry. After a tough life on the streets, these two have the potential to be massive stars in the making. Expect Jason and Lucia to protect them in various missions under the orders of Priest or Ike.
Raul Bautista
The first major crime lord confirmed for GTA 6, Bautista is supposedly a master at bank heists, which is how this GTA 5 mechanic makes a comeback. It’s unknown how important this character will be, but Jason and Lucia will probably work for him on various missions. Don’t be surprised if they end up double-crossing him.
Phil Cassidy
A character from the original Vice City, Phil Cassidy, runs the Ammu-Nation store and was a pleasant surprise for fans. We don’t expect Phil to play a significant role in the game, though he could have a lengthy chain of side missions. Expect to visit his shop regularly for weapons.
