Developed by PlaySide Studios, Game of Thrones: War for Westeros promises players the ability to alter the course of the story they know, letting them take control of several armies across a hopefully lengthy story mode.
True to the nature of RTS games, you’ll have to carefully manage your resources and build different types of structures that allow the creation of various units.
The Game of Thrones spin comes in the form of the armies and units you get to control, as the trailer showcases players taking control of the Starks, the Lannisters, and even a brief but very impactful glimpse of Daenerys Targaryen’s army—which includes massive, match-changing dragons.
If done properly, the possibilities for War for Westeros in terms of the armies it can include and the units we can control are nigh endless. That alone has me excited for it.
