The FF XIV Fan Festival kicked off with a massive bang, as Square Enix announced the game's latest expansion: Final Fantasy XIV Evercold, set to release in January, 2027.

Fans who tuned in were treated to an incredible cinematic as Yoshi-P promised that Evercold will be the next step in Final Fantasy XIV, as Evercold will kick off the next major story arc, titled the Godless Realms Saga.

In this expansion's story, Warriors of Light will visit a placed called The Fourth. It's a reflection of Hydaelyn that has fallen into ruins. Players will get to experience the road to Evercold with patch 7.5 releasing this next April 28.
