Exoprimal Brings Dino Crisis-Style Dinosaur-Killing Action Next Year

Last night’s State of Play opened with a new multiplayer game from Capcom called Exoprimal, which somehow isn’t Dino Crisis. Despite being a Capcom game where players have to shoot dinosaurs, this is a brand-new IP set that doesn’t have much in common with Dino Crisis aside from prehistoric reptiles and red-haired women.

Not being called Dino Crisis aside, Exoprimal looks like an interesting mix of modern multiplayer games and Capcom arcade-like gameplay. While Exoprimal has four players using their unique abilities to get rid of dinosaurs, the amount of dinosaurs players will have to contend with seems like a callback to titles like Ghosts ‘N Goblins or Strider.

Exoprimal Comes to Consoles and PC Next Year

Capcom’s Exoprimal is set for release in 2023, with no exact release date given. The futuristic dinosaur shooter that isn’t Dino Crisis will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
