To explore the continent of Pywel, you'll need to have a mount to help you.

With a map twice as big as Skyrim, Crimson Desert's open world is huge. It would take hours to explore every area on foot, which is why having an animal to mount is vital. While you can mount different animals, the most common one is a horse.

But your horse isn't immune - they get damaged too. Here's how to take care of your horse and heal them in Crimson Desert.

How to Tell if Your Horse Needs Healing in Crimson Desert

Horses can get hurt in two ways: by sustaining damage in combat or suffering from the environment, such as from a fall or collision.

The quickest way to tell if your horse is injured is by checking if it is physically wounded. If your horse has scratches and appears bloody, then this means they're injured.

However, it might be difficult to check if your horse is wearing armor. Another way to check is by trying to get your horse to sprint. An injured horse will not be able to run and will instead walk at a slow speed. This means your horse needs to be healed.

You can also tell if your horse is injured by opening the character wheel and checking its stats. If it says that the horse is exhausted, then this means it is likely injured.

How to Heal Your Horse in Crimson Desert

The easiest way to heal your horse is to bring them to a stable. There are stables all across Pywel, but the first one you'll likely encounter is in the North of Hernand.

Another way to heal your horse is by using Healing Force Palm. This can be unlocked in Kliff's skill tree. You can also give your horse consumables, such as Hay or Horse Tonic (which can be bought from the stables).

To feed your horse the consumable, simply open your inventory and hover over a food item. If the option Feed Your Horse isn't greyed out, then this means you can give it to your horse to eat.
