SNK has officially revealed that the first DLC for City of the Wolves, Andy Bogard, is set to come out on June 24. The entirety of season 1 will be free to those who purchase the game.

The announcement occurred during Community Effort Orlando (CEO for short), one of the most prestigious fighting game events of the year, rivaling the likes of Evo. Right before Top 8 for the City of the Wolves bracket was about to start, a quick Andy Bogard trailer played, showcasing his unique move set which will come with a plethora of mix-ups to open up his opponents.

Andy is a fan-favorite of the Fatal Fury franchise. Being the romantic interest for Mai Shiranui and brother of the iconic Terry Bogard, Andy does have a flair of its own. He's a Shiranui-ryuu practitioner, a special ninjutsu style in the world of SNK games.

Andy, like Mai and Hokutomaru, the youngest Shiranui style student that's also playable in City of the Wolves (he's actually my main), relies on fast-paced neutral to overwhelm opponents. Facing Andy already looks like a nightmare as he showcased plenty of mixups that include left-right guesses, command grabs, and overall a ton of cool-looking combos.

Andy Bogard is ready to debut

As mentioned, Andy Bogard will be the first DLC of the season for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. A game I believe is one of the most fun fighting games of recent years that deserves a shot at success.

Following Andy, two guest characters will join South Town: Ken Masters (Summer) and Chun-Li (Winter) from Street Fighter. Joe Higashi is also slated to come out in between the two SF representatives, with the fifth and final character being Mr. Big in early 2026.

If you're afraid of trying out a fighting game, I've come up with a few reasons as to why you should stop making excuses and give one a chance. Why not make it City of the Wolves?
