The makers of The Blood of Dawnwalker have stated that genre tags like AA, AAA, or AAAA don't really matter for their upcoming open-world vampire RPG.
Rebel Wolves is focused on delivering a top-notch experience that meets the high standards set by iconic RPGs such as The Witcher 3. Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz, the creative director behind the game and former lead quest designer for The Witcher 3, stated that their goal isn't to fit into a certain box but to create a game that excels in gameplay, storytelling, and player engagement.
Tomaszkiewicz shared in an interview with GamesRadar that, unlike many games trying to fit into the AA or AAA categories, The Blood of Dawnwalker places quality above all else. He made it clear that while the game's team isn't as big as those massive AAA studios, they're still focused on delivering an experience and story just as rich. They are pushing the boundaries with the resources they have. You can see this commitment in the game's goal to meet the high expectations set by The Witcher 3, a game they worked on so well.
Even with the studio's size, Tomaszkiewicz assured fans that The Blood of Dawnwalker would deliver a rich and rewarding RPG experience. The campaign runs for 30 to 40 hours, but each hour is filled with a carefully crafted, immersive experience. In terms of gameplay, the developers are inspired by classic RPGs, with a special nod to Dungeons & Dragons.
The Blood of Dawnwalker doesn't have a release date yet, but we can already tell it's built to stand the test of time.
