A second batch of content will arrive with the mid-season refresh, possibly three weeks after its start. At this point it's unclear how long the entire season will last, but it should be between 8 and 9 weeks.

Multiplayer Modes

These are the new and returning modes coming to Black Ops 7's Multiplayer throughout the new season:

Overdrive Domination

Available at launch, players will have to capture, hold, and defend objectives while eliminating targets with style to earn stars for their team.

These are the criteria for earning stars:

  • Earn 1 star for Basic Eliminations.
  • Earn 2 stars for Core Medal Eliminations.
  • Earn 3 stars for completing Distinguished Medal Eliminations.

And these are the special bonuses the stars will grant to players:

  • 1 Star: Cognition Uplink: Increased perception to help you find your next target.
  • 3 Stars: Hyper Speed: Increased movement speed to reach your target faster.
  • 6 Stars: Ballistic Overdrive: Increased weapons handling to help you eliminate your target.

Gauntlet Rush

Available at launch, the mode rewards Operators who constantly engage the enemy and complete objectives across a rotating set of five modes: Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, Domination, Hardpoint, and Roulette.

Each game mode lasts for two minutes before seamlessly switching to the next one within the same map to keep the action hot. Eliminate enemies and play the objective to rev up toward Operator enhancements including faster movement speed, weapon swap speed, and improved headshot damage.

Cranked Moshpit

Available in the mid-season,  players must eliminate enemies to activate the Cranked timer and earn buffs like faster movement, reload speed, and other upgrades. Your life ends when the timer does, so keep it active through constant slaying. Hit zero, and you explode.

Zombies

The last Black Ops 7 Zombies map, titled Rex Infernus, will arrive with the mid-season update, and the first teaser shows us Dr. Monty's house from Black Ops 3, indicating the map could either take place in it or at least feature it.

The Call of Duty blog teases that the map will feature a new Wonder Weapon, but didn't disclose its name. In terms of perks, Widow's Wine is back and will be available in the new map.

The Olympia and TR2 will be added to the mode as legacy weapons, meaning players can obtain them through the mystery box across all maps.

For the start of the season, Directed Mode will be added to Kowakujō, allowing players to solve the easter egg with instructions like on previous maps. The map will also be added to the Starting Room game mode. On top of that, Eidskallen Lighthouse from Totenreich will be added as a new Survival map.

Other Details

Here are other minor details about the upcoming season so you don't miss out on anything:
