Just like that, Atlus’ multi-award-winning JRPG Metaphor: ReFantazio is coming to Xbox Game Pass on May 29. This was confirmed in a recent blog post from Microsoft detailing the latest lineup of games joining the service.
Following the partnership between Microsoft and Atlus a few years ago, this marks their next major title to arrive on Game Pass. This follows a wave of Persona games from Atlus, giving users even more RPGs to play. Even the recent Persona 3 Reload launched on Game Pass, saving countless Atlus fans a few bucks with just one subscription.
The inclusion of Metaphor: ReFantazio reinforces the strength of Atlus and Microsoft’s ongoing collaboration. Xbox Game Pass subscribers can now dive into a sweeping fantasy epic about a prince destined to reclaim his throne. Persona fans will appreciate its blend of real-time and turn-based combat, not to mention a captivating soundtrack.
Metaphor: ReFantazio isn’t the only title hitting Game Pass this month. Starting May 22, standard users will also gain access to S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, Creatures of Ava, Tales of Kenzera: Zau, and Hellblade II: Senua’s Saga.
Other upcoming additions include Monster Train 2 on May 21, The Division 2 on May 27, To a T on May 28. Metaphor: ReFantazio will come to the service on May 29, alongside Spray Paint Simulator.
While this can be taken with a grain of salt, this also gives credence to a potential re-release of Metaphor: ReFantazio in the future according to a previous leak. We might be getting new content with this potential Metaphor re-release if the rumors prove true.
