Rumors about a new Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater remaster are starting to gain traction, with several hints suggesting that Activision and Xbox are teaming up to bring another classic entry from the beloved skateboarding series back into the spotlight.

The biggest reveal came from Tyshawn Jones when he joined The Breakfast Club podcast not long ago. During the interview, Jones casually mentioned that he is set to be in an upcoming Tony Hawk game, stating, "I'm in a Tony Hawk coming out. They got a new one they are remastering, so that’s about to come out."

Although he was too young for the original games, Jones made an appearance in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2. His inclusion in the upcoming project also suggests they will bring back classic content while updating the skater roster.

This lines up with past remarks from Tony Hawk himself. During the series’ 25th anniversary last year, Hawk took to social media to tease that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater still had a future.

Later, in an appearance on Mythical Kitchen, Hawk confirmed that he had been in discussions with Activision about a new project, though he couldn’t disclose specifics due to legal constraints. However, he assured fans that whatever was in the works would be something worth looking forward to.

The Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater series has had its fair share of highs and lows over the years. The 2020 remaster of the first two games was a major success. However, plans for a Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 remaster were reportedly scrapped after Vicarious Visions, the studio responsible for the first remake, was merged into Blizzard Entertainment.

If the latest rumors are true, Activision might have found a way to get the project rolling again, possibly with a fresh team calling the shots.

Whether this will be a Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 remaster or something entirely different is yet to be seen, but one thing is sure—excitement is building for the next chapter in the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater legacy.
