  • Quick Answer: K-Pop Rising: Dream to Shine is a new rhythm and life-simulation game where players train K-Pop stars, set to release on November 5th for Nintendo Switch and PS5.

Are you a Nintendo Switch or PS5 owner with an immense passion for K-Pop? Perhaps someone in your family can’t stop singing Golden from K-Pop: Demon Hunters? Well, you’ll soon be able to get your hands on K-Pop Rising: Dream to Shine, one of the few games brave enough to compete with Grand Theft Auto 6.

Developed by Microids and Old Skull Games, K-Pop Rising is a life sim/rhythm game set to be released on November 5, just two weeks before the most anticipated game of all time, GTA 6. Talk about having no fear.

In this game, you’ll be able to recruit and train pop stars in order to rise to the top of the charts of the music industry and become the next Twice or Blackpink. The game can be played in co-op, so you can have friends or other Jungkook stans join in on the fun.

The reveal trailer really doesn’t show much. In fact, it doesn’t show anything at all, so if you were waiting for me to break down how the life sim aspects merge with the rhythm portion of the game, you’re out of luck, as I’ve no idea either. Is it going to be a more classic Guitar Hero (or I guess, more topical now, Fortnite Festival) simple minigame, or is it going to get a bit crazier like Rhythm Heaven Groove?

Well, in any case, the trailer at least has a sense of style, even if there is no substance to dissect just yet.
