4 New Eeveelution Ideas We Need for Pokemon Gen 10

2026 is the 30th Pokemon Anniversary, and that means expectations are sky-high for re-releases, exclusive content, and next-gen news. With the last batch of little fellas being introduced in 2022, it’s about time trainers meet the next 100+ pocket monsters to catch and evolve.

Leaks point to Pokemon Winds and Pokemon Waves being the titles of the upcoming dual entry to the $100 billion franchise. With environments like hills, beaches, and islands, the typing and evolution possibilities are endless, not for every Pokemon, though.

Eevee, a fan-favorite since the game’s inception, has amassed eight evolutions in its 30-year existence, each with different typings and evolution methods. Adventuring the archipelagos is the perfect excuse to go into double-digit territory, so without further ado, here are four Eeveelutions we’d love to meet in Pokemon Gen 10:

1. Cloudeon, the Flying Eeveelution

Joining the likes of Charizard, Gyarados, and the legendary birds, it’s about time an Eeveelution could soar through the skies with its own Flying-type variant. Created by u/dhio_art, Cloudeon would finally let players fast-travel with an Eevee, and what better way to take flight than on the tenth generation of Pokemon entries.

Getting to use Fly to travel with Cloudeon from island to island would make the adventure all the more memorable, considering it would be one of the main ways of Pokemon travel besides Surf. Hopefully, it would also mean an early-game Eevee to level up and evolve to be a part of most of the journey instead of a late-game catch that sits in the party close to 100%ing the game.

The evolution method from Eevee to Cloudeon could involve a Float Stone, a held item that just increases speed, giving it a second life and allowing evolution without a specific power level. Even if it took 1,000,000 XP, who wouldn’t want a flying Eevee, though?

2. Arideon, the Ground Eeveelution

The theme of Winds and Waves opens the door to many extravagant biomes, even to specific parts of the obvious ones. Where there are beaches, there is sand, and that sand finally introduces a Ground Eeveelution to the official Pokedex.

Arideon, the Ground Eevee, was originally posted on the Fakemon subreddit by u/KikiMongoose-, who described it as having colorful red sand from its Australian origins. Though we think Arideon would be a lovely match with the shores of the Southeast Asian-inspired archipelagos, coastal hills, and island deserts.

Of course, an item is in order for evolution to occur, and the Sun Stone makes the most sense to add another typing to Eevee’s plethora of options. Even better, you could use Gen 4’s TM evolution, and Arideon could be the result of Eevee being taught Dig or Earthquake – both lovely options to add another stone-less transformation.

3. Pebbleon, the Rock Eeveelution

Created by u/Foreign_Ad_2294, this Rock Eeveelution design would work wonderfully on the island’s mountains, especially in the mid and late game. Though it was originally posted without an official fan-made name, I’m taking the liberty of throwing the Pebbleon name out there, because look at this cutie!

The Rock Type Pokemon could achieve its final form by learning Stone Edge or Smack Down, or by an item like most of its generational siblings, with the Shiny Stone fitting perfectly with its pointy, ridged aesthetic.

I know the whole charm of Eevee and the Eeveelutions is about befriending the base form and choosing your path, but I can definitely see Pebbleon sending players on a wild goose chase to get a wild Pokemon spawn. That’s how cool it looks, and that’s how difficult I’d want it to be. Whoops.

4. Wyveon, the Dragon Eeveelution

Lastly, we couldn’t talk about expanding the Eeveelutions without one of the most requested typings since 1996. Created by Wabatte-Meru, this is Wyveon, the Dragon Eevee. Its Fandom description literally describes it as a native Pokemon to the Bangok Region, a Bangkok-inspired Fakemon Pokedex based on Southeast Asia, just like Winds and Waves.

Its colorful design and slick silhouette almost make me want to have this Eeveelution as one of the most difficult to achieve, just based on how awesome it looks. However, I think an Ancient Stone would suffice to get yourself a Dragon Eevee. If Game Freak gets really lazy, we could see the first-ever Dual-Typed Eevee in Wyveon with Dragon and Flying powers. Imagine soaring through Generation 10 on the back of one of these beauts.

If wishes do come true, any of these would be the first new Eeveelution since Sylveon’s debut 13 years ago. That is almost half of Pokemon’s existence without a new Eevee. 30 years in, 8 types down, 10 to go. I guess I’ll see y’all in 2050 for another Eevelution list. Whew.
