Staten left Bungie prior to the launch of the original Destiny, before writing for Microsoft Studio's ReCore (remember that one?).

His lineage with Halo goes right back to the start, with Staten directing the cinematics for the first three games in the franchise, while also working on a Halo novel and the eventually cancelled Peter Jackson movie based on the game.

He even voiced the grunts across the initial trilogy!

The game's development has been under scrutiny recently, with Halo Infinite being delayed to 2021. A further report suggested that the delay was due to heavy outsourcing to third-party development studios, but the team recently confirmed that the game is on track for 2021 and will still come to Xbox One.
