Deadzone: Rogue just launched on Steam Early Access, and it’s offering up a whole heap of thrilling sci-fi shooter action.
Here’s why we think you should stop reading these words and be downloading it - right now.
Back to Basics
There’s a plot, but it never feels like it’s getting in the way of the game’s main draw - the action.
You wake up on the ship ISS-X, but have no idea who you are and why you’re there. However there’s not much time for memory recall as a heap of rogue machines are heading your way. And they’re not friendly.
Action Action Action
So the plot is simply a way to get to the action quickly, and in this area Deadzone: Rogue doesn’t disappoint.
There’s a range of machines to fight, and each one has their own attacks and patterns for you to learn. Every arena you’re plonked into you have to think fast - and shoot faster - if you’re to survive.
Guns Guns Guns
And those guns you’ll be shooting don’t disappoint either. There are over 30 you can use, with each one being available to mod and improve as you progress through the game.
Shotguns can turn from short range options to crowd clearing chaos creators with certain elemental affixes, and the joy in finding out what each weapon can become is a joy.
When you die in Deadzone: Rogue it’s never a hindrance, but merely another way to power up your arsenal.
Solo and Co-op
There’s a range of difficulty modes to pick from so even novice shooter fans are accommodated to as well, so you can work your way up the ranks as quickly as you want.
Then you have the chance to play the game in solo mode or with up to three player co-op supported - and blasting away at enemies with friends by your side is a huge amount of fun.
So make sure you check out Deadzone: Rogue right now on Steam and Epic Games, with the game also boasting a very active Discord channel you can get involved with too.
