In Valorant's first-ever holiday season, Riot Games launched a casual, time-limited game mode called Snowball Fight. The playlist was only open for four days, and, since December 19, 2020, no more matches had taken place... until this month as, five years later, Valorant's Snowball Fight is rumored to make a return.
According to @ValorLeaks, one of Valorant's most reputable leakers, Riot Games have decided to bring back Valorant's holiday season's game mode Snowball Fight. The dates haven't been announced yet, but expect the playlist to open sometime in the upcoming weeks. Its duration is also unknown, but we expect it to be open for seven days.
Snowball Fight is a 5v5 Team Deathmatch game mode in which all fire weapons are replaced by a Snowball Launcher which shoots projectile-based snowballs. The Snowball Launcher has infinite ammunition, so don't worry about getting dry... it won't happen!
Additionally, players in Valorant's Snowball Fight can claim power ups that can strengthen their kits. Similar to picking up an orb, Valorant's Snowball Fight includes four different power ups, these being the following:
- Growball: When launching a snowball, the snowball will grow as it travels in the air
- Rapid Fire: Infinite magazine and rate of fire increased to 1,67 rounds per second
- Ricochet: Snowballs can bounce off surfaces, including walls and grounds
- Skates: Speed and maximum jump height increased
Keep in mind that these were the power ups given to players in 202o's Snowball Fight. Riot Games could come up with different power ups in this year's edition!
In the meantime, make sure to check out Valorant's latest patch, 11.11, which allows players to gift Valorant Points (VP). This comes in the perfect time as the holiday season is just around the corner!
