Players Are Getting The Wuchang Platinum So Fast It Feels Illegal

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers has only just arrived on digital platforms, but many players have already achieved the Platinum Trophy, ahead of most who are still finishing their patch downloads.

What’s surprising isn’t just how quickly people are finishing the game, but the fact that they’re reaching 100% completion in under a week, despite all the performance problems and multi-ending requirements.

Who Was the First to Make Headlines?

PS5 player kyoby1982 earned every achievement in about 40 hours, completing all four endings, defeating 20 bosses, maxing out weapon upgrades, and collecting all jade pendants and Benediction gates.

The speed and skill were impressive by themselves, but the technique of using save scumming to unlock alternate endings without replaying the entire game sparked even more discussion.

While some trophy hunters defend this strategy, others see it as cutting corners, especially in a game where multiple paths are meant to encourage replayability.

How Many Others Have Completed Wuchang Already?

Kyoby was part of a growing group, with 2.88% of PlayStation players tracked by PSN Profiles earning platinum just days after release.

Even on PC, where performance issues were widely reported, a handful of Steam users managed to finish every achievement, despite the fact that some were bugged and wouldn’t even unlock unless retried through tricks like cloud streaming.

On Xbox, at least four players have completed the full list too, although some believe the number is even higher, especially once glitchy achievements start registering properly.

How Did They Do It Despite the Bugs and Stutters?

The shocking part is that the game dropped in this rough state on PC, in particular with Unreal Engine 5.1 glitches like shader stutter, fuzzy image scaling, and lag during traversal.

Users on powerful rigs were still complaining that even basic exploration felt choppy.

Some players reported that changing settings like DLSS, resolution scaling, or frame caps didn’t improve the game’s performance.

In fact, many community members pointed out that other UE5 games have started addressing these issues with newer engine versions, while Wuchang remains stuck on a 2022-era build.

Despite that, completionists powered through. It wasn’t any easier for console players, who dealt with bugs, iffy combat controls, and unclear achievement triggers at launch.

One of the ending-related trophies near the end supposedly had just a coin-flip chance of unlocking properly. Some players had to repeat that ending through cloud save workarounds just to get their completion status to register.

Why Are People Arguing Over These Platinum Runs?

A good number of players criticized the early Platinums, saying they didn’t count much when save manipulation was involved.

Others felt the rush defeated the point of a Soulslike experience, which usually thrives on tension, failure, and slow progression.

Fans argue it’s fair since the game lets you save and has multiple endings, so optimizing your playthrough is expected.

What’s wild is that even with these arguments going back and forth, most people agree on one thing—Wuchang’s platinum shouldn’t be this quick.

Given the bugs, broken trophies, combat issues, and the many collectibles and upgrades, this kind of completion normally spans weeks, not just days. And yet, here we are. The leaderboard is already filling up.
