Marvel Rivals may have the entire Marvel IP to milk content out of, but Overwatch 2 has managed to partner with some interesting brands for some great collaborations as they did with Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Now, Blizzard has revealed a new collab with K-pop group LE SSERAFIM and it’s supposed to coincide with their upcoming album launch of HOT by the end of the week.

Overwatch 2 x LE SSERAFIM

Though the first collab had a fully 3D-animated announcement, the second one is sticking to the 2D aesthetic—but it’s not any less fantastic. Check this out:

“Discover how FEARLESS you truly are during Overwatch 2 x LE SSERAFIM. Get ready for a new and vibrant collaboration with returning K-Pop sensation, LE SSERAFIM. Enjoy dazzling new skins that are sure to turn heads and new emotes for when the music calls to you,” the official description reads.

Before the skins arrive in the game, Overwatch 2 is going to be holding a livestream on March 17 (8:30 p.m. PT) which will also show the reveal of LE SSERAFIM’s new music video.

For a closer look at the new skins for Ashe, Illari, D. Va, Juno, and Mercy, they’ve also released this official art:

Recolors will also be released for the previous LA SERRAFIM collaboration.

Overwatch 2 x LE SSERAFIM Last Year

Last year, LE SSERAFIM collaborated with Overwatch by releasing new K-pop-inspired skins for Kiriko, D. Va, Sombra, Tracer, and Brigitte. Here’s the original animated trailer for context:

The collab also came with a new game mode named The Concert Clash, but it looks like Blizzard isn’t going to be bringing that back for this new team-up.

Why No New Game Mode?

As it turns out, Blizzard is currently too busy dealing with updates to other areas of the game, so it was decided that they would only focus on skins this time around.

Talking to eSports Illustrated, Blizzard’s AD of product management Aimee Dennett says, “We don’t really have a single template we apply to each (collab). It’s more what would be fun and interesting for this IP and the players. We wanted to make sure that (Concert Clash) was in a good spot if we were going to bring it back, but we felt that there’s so much other important stuff happening to the core game that we really didn’t want to take resources away from that.”

Maybe it’ll come back down the line, but for now, fans can just enjoy some new K-pop-inspired skins for a new batch of Overwatch heroines.

Overwatch 2 and Marvel Rivals

Though Marvel Rivals has been hogging all the hype since 2025 started, Overwatch 2 has been fighting back with some solid collaborations and now more additions to the core game.

Blizzard had been lagging when it came to their promises for the Overwatch sequel, but it looks like Marvel Rivals has now given them a run for their money, and the devs have to step up their game.

The Overwatch 2 x LE SSERAFIM collab launches on March 18. OW2 is now playable for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
