Seregios (also known affectionately by fans as Steve) has finally arrived in Monster Hunter Wilds, and this might be its best version yet. This eagle-like flying wyvern is a serious threat thanks to its razor-sharp talons and terrifying bladescales.
With incredible aerial mobility, Seregios can be a ferocious opponent, especially for unprepared hunters. That's why we're here to tell you exactly how this beast can be defeated!
How to Beat Seregios
To take down Seregios, you’ll need to study its moveset and learn its weak points.
One of its most dangerous traits is its sharp talons, which can inflict a massive amount of bleeding. Bleeding is a classic status effect in Monster Hunter; it can quickly drain your health whenever you move while affected.
The best way to stop bleeding is to crouch and stay still for a few seconds until it wears off. If you're in a pinch, a Well-Done Steak can also help clear the effect quickly.
When Seregios enters its supercharged state, its bladescales become even more dangerous. Its pinecone-like body transforms, enabling it to launch a barrage of scales from a distance. Getting hit by these not only deals damage but also causes bleeding, so staying mobile and avoiding those attacks is key.
What Are Seregios’ Weapon Skills?
Seregios’ signature weapon skill is Bladescales, and it's an incredibly useful ability; it restores lost Sharpness every time you successfully dodge a monster’s attack.
Every one of the 14 weapon types has its own Seregios variant, each equipped with this passive ability.
Bladescales rewards skilled, last-minute dodging, making it a perfect fit for weapons that thrive on mobility like Bows, Long Swords, and Dual Blades.
Most of Seregios’ weapons also come with a built-in affinity boost, but slightly lower raw damage. They shine in builds that make good use of Critical Eye and Weakness Exploit skills.

What Are Seregios’ Armor Skills?
Seregios’ armor is built entirely around dodging and maintaining sharpness.
One of its core skills, Adrenaline Rush, grants a significant damage boost after a successful dodge. Paired with Evade Window, which gives longer invulnerability frames, it becomes much easier to pull off clutch dodges in battle.
The set also comes with Agitator, making enraged monsters a risk-reward scenario. When the monster is angry, both of you hit harder, but with the right playstyle, that benefits you more.
The set bonus skill, Razor’s Edge, extends the duration of Adrenaline Rush. With the right timing, this can make you a relentless force on the battlefield.
