Someone just discovered a legal way to get an aimbot-like experience in the console version of Marvel Rivals, and it’s surprisingly easy to do. Reddit user u/Klw3ll, posting on the Marvel Rivals subreddit, uncovered a trick that makes aiming much easier, and best of all, it’s entirely within the rules set by NetEase, meaning it’s LEGAL.

Using just your standard Xbox Series X/S or PlayStation 5 controller, here’s the setup under Controller > Combat > Stick > Advanced Settings to create this "legal aimbot":

  • Aim Assist Box Size: 20 (18–22 is also fine)
  • Strength: 90
  • Drop Ease: around 0
  • Disable Aim Assist at Max Dead Zone
  • Increase Horizontal Max Dead Zone Boost
  • Linear Curve Type

This configuration allows you to aim much more comfortably with a controller. Higher sensitivity makes it easier for hit-scan players like Punisher and even Hela to track faster enemies, such as Iron Man or Iron Fist, during hectic firefights. It’s also an excellent setup for players who struggle to reacquire their aim on targets.

A quick warning: This method hasn't been tested on controllers with stick drift, so if you have stick drift issues, you might have bigger problems to be worried about.

Players who tried these settings on console reported that it worked wonders, although some believe it could just be a placebo effect. Still, it’s simple enough to try it yourself and see what you think.

Marvel Rivals' console players are a different breed compared to their PC counterparts. On consoles, there’s no need to worry about third-party tools and cheats (aside from the occasional sneaky keyboard and mouse user who somehow bypasses detection). Interestingly, this "legal" aimbot setup isn't limited to consoles; PC players who use controllers can also benefit from it.

NetEase has made it clear: using third-party tools or data trackers will result in punishments, including account bans. The developers have been cracking down hard on players exploiting the game’s systems, most recently patching the notorious "Lord Farming" exploit in Doom Match.

NetEase is actively listening to player feedback. While this "legal" aimbot setup currently has no repercussions, it's anyone’s guess how long that will last, or if a future patch might change things.
