Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 proved to be a worthwhile release on Nintendo Switch, giving fans a fun action RPG packed with plenty of content and replay value. Even if the game had issues with difficulty spikes and grinding, this was a worthy revival for the Ultimate Alliance series and fans want more.

While most fans just want Ultimate Alliance 4, as do we, it’s easy to forget that Netmarble’s Marvel Future Fight is still around. Despite being a mobile game filled with gacha mechanics, the beat-em-up gameplay and numerous characters are commendable. Featuring plenty of characters with cool MCU and comic costumes, a console port of this game should be considered.

It might lack the polish of an Ultimate Alliance game, but there’s plenty to like about Marvel Future Fight. The game’s huge roster spans from MCU favorites like Iron Man and Captain America to beloved X-Men like Wolverine. Curiously, the game just received an update that adds new characters and costumes based on Daredevil: Born Again.

Because this is a mobile game that’s meant to last for a long time, there are now hundreds of characters for players to earn. Even though this is a gacha title, some characters are easy to earn and the game can be generous with in-game currency. Obviously, the game is designed to try to take money from the player, but those who play long enough can get plenty of heroes for free.

Putting a lot of time and effort into a gacha game can be draining, just ask any Zenless Zone Zero fan, which is why a console port for Marvel Future Fight would be fascinating. With Marvel Rivals proving to be a stellar superhero shooter, Netmarble could keep this as a free-to-play game on console and PC. Most fans would prefer a one-time payment option so they aren’t bombarded with ads and currency, but this is a gacha game so fans shouldn’t expect much.

For the sake of gaming preservation, we would prefer an offline version of Marvel Future Fight that has players unlock characters gradually. This might be impossible since there are literally hundreds of characters in the game, but they could always scale it back or re-release some of them as DLC. Honestly, it would also be nice if an Ultimate Alliance game had a similar update schedule where players get new content.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 did add new rifts to play through and costumes to unlock, but that was about it. Three character packs and an extra story were released as paid DLC for a good price, but that was the end of it. It’s why fans are hoping we get Ultimate Alliance 4 on the Switch 2.

If a time comes when Marvel Future Fight has to end, we hope a version of the game can be released to preserve it. Mega Man X Dive and Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp had paid offline versions after the online games were done, so something similar with Future Fight would be ideal.
