Sick of dying in ARC Raiders again and again? Call it a skill issue if you will, but it has become a constant problem as I mourn my losses whenever I'm unable to extract successfully.
Imagine your character bringing the best weapons like Hullcracker and Tempest to take down a Matriarch or Queen, only to find out a random player is already planning to kill you behind your back, losing all the hard work you did in the process. You return to Speranza with no rewards, apart from that one tiny space in your safe pocket.
How about PvP ‘rats’ waiting near the extraction points? Once they find you defenseless, they are already behind you, giving you no time to react and fight back.

ARC Raiders needed at least something to alleviate this frustration. The ‘free loadout’ option was a huge help, but it could always use more customization. Now, other than the annoying feeling of having to rummage through our inventory after every death, what I want from ARC Raiders’ future updates is a ‘second chance’ option.
Embark should take a page from Battlefield 6’s battle royale mode, REDSEC. It has an interesting ‘second chance’ mechanic that automatically redeploys us after an untimely death. While instant revival is impractical for an extraction shooter like ARC Raiders, I just want a mechanic where getting knocked down doesn’t mean everything is over.

A better option would be a new Arc machine that can resuscitate a fallen ally. Maybe it could borrow one of Fortnite’s revival systems via the Reboot Vans. It doesn’t have to be gimmicky and arcadey as we do in Epic Games' battle royale. Given ARC Raiders' grounded approach to movement, I’d be more than willing to carry a friend’s knocked-down body to see him brought back to life.
Embark can also add legendary revival items in the loot pool, similar to the Snap Hook. It could be a legendary version of the defibrillator that drops from an Arc Surveyor. That way, more players have a reason to hunt the game’s version of a loot goblin.
As ARC Raiders continues to thrive, it also guarantees an influx of players who love PvP. That means every map might become a sweatier version of Stella Montis, where each encounter is guaranteed “shoot on sight.”

This is more of a personal preference, but Embark really needs to find a way to remedy the feeling of total failure. ARC Raiders has already reinvented the extraction shooter formula with its mix of PvP and PvE elements. What’s stopping them from adding more features that bring back players to life?
