3 Updated Features I Can’t Wait to See in GTA 6

GTA

GTA

You know the drill: GTA hype, yada yada yada. It feels like Grand Theft Auto anticipation is an abstract feeling, almost like it’s a mythical video game that can’t be explained unless experienced. The shtick is getting as annoying as the continued delays because how do these people explain their excitement beyond “it’s awesome,” which it is.

Does anyone have anything specific they’re excited about? I do. Beyond the obvious story modes, ginormous maps, and unlawful gameplay, there are things that only the Grand Theft Auto series knows how to cook. So without further ado, here are my three most anticipated features to be revamped in GTA 6:

1. Updated Radio Stations in Leonida

Cars are of the utmost importance in the GTA series; it’s right there in the name, Auto. They’re the number one form of transportation throughout the shootouts, escape plans, heists, and more. And on top of it all, go the mystical soundtracks of radio stations.

Man, East Los FM was my jam, figuratively and literally. The internet knows exactly where music curation stands in enhancing the Grand Theft Auto experience, with GTA V elevating it to unimaginable heights.

Where do you take it from there? Well, a natural split of music genres just like before, with updated announcers, song rotations, and even more content to our already parody-riddled talk shows, political debates, and showbiz interviews.

Those first couple of drives rediscovering new sound bites, guest appearances, and both known and unknown bangers will be a core memory for years to come. As for the Latino radio station, bring Don Cheto to Vice City. I don’t care. ¡Sobres!

2. Vice City Customization Paradise

GTA Online 2 is bound to make its roaring debut soon after Grand Theft Auto 6 finally releases, and this should also open the door to hopefully revamped customization features. Tattoo parlors, clothing stores, hair salons. You want it, you got it. (Alexa, add 7 Rings by Ariana Grande to the GTA 6 Radio Wishlist.)

Grand Theft Auto V wasn’t bad per se, but it definitely is a product of its time. Especially considering how much the world has changed since the 2013 drop, I can only imagine how much longer the list of haircuts, tattoo designs, and fashion choices will be.

Going even harder with GTA Online customization is the natural move, though I do expect the same choices to be readily available for Jason and Lucia, features that went instantly viral with custom protagonists way back when and would inherently be among the first GTA 6 pieces of content to hit online. Gamers just want to dress up, man, give it to them, Rockstar.

3. New Mini Games, baybay!

I don’t know about you, but GTA mini games are hilarious to me, considering the nature of the game. You mean to tell me the game famous for shooting, stealing, drug dealing, and much, much more has golf and tennis? Billiards and table hockey? Darts and bowling?

This is my main argument when talking about Grand Theft Auto feeling like our simulation’s simulation: crime is the marketing that gets our foot in the door. Once in, you literally could live a whole life inside this dumb video game. Why do you think GTA RP is so successful?

I am so confident in this feature that I genuinely expect basketball, table tennis, and Pilates to be added to GTA 6. You cannot tell me hoops, paddles, and the legend, Fabien LaRouche, will be missing from Vice City. It’s Vice City, dad gummit!
